Cummins QSL9-300
A repair of the Cummins QSL9-300 engine, which comes from a Hyundai HX330 crawler excavator, was carried out in our workshop.
In the repaired engine, the base elements were initially prepared: sleeves, pistons, rings and pins with protections.
Repair process
Then the engine base was mounted based on the above elements and main bearings, bearings and connecting rod bushings.
In the fuel system, tested injectors and a high-pressure pump after inspection were installed.
The engine cooling system received a new water pump and a new thermostat. The worn oil pump was also replaced with a new one. Due to the damage to the tappet cups, their replacement was necessary, while the camshaft was renovated.
In addition, the following were regenerated: crankshaft, connecting rods, head and turbocharger.
The entire engine was assembled on a new set of seals, gaskets and filters.
After the repair, the engine was checked and preliminarily run-in on the engine dynamometer in our workshop.
