In our workshop, a rebuild of the damaged Liebherr D 914 Ti engine, originating from a Liebherr self-propelled crane, was carried out.
The engine repair included, among other things, replacing the damaged engine head and valve pushers. Then the engine was assembled on new repair kits containing cylinder liners and pistons along with the pin and rings. Of course, new main bearings, bearings and connecting rod bushings were installed. In the fuel system, regenerated injectors and an injection pump were installed. The engine cooling system received a regenerated water pump and new thermostats. The worn oil pump was replaced with another, functional one.
In addition, the following were regenerated: crankshaft, connecting rods, heads, camshaft, turbocharger, alternator and starter.
Finally, the engine was assembled on a new set of seals, gaskets and filters.
After the repair, the engine was checked and preliminarily run-in on the engine dynamometer in our workshop.
