A Caterpillar C6E engine from a crawler excavator was repaired in our workshop.
The engine repair began with the operation of oversizing the engine block. The next step was to assemble the engine on new sets containing main bearings, bearings and connecting rod bushings, as well as complete pistons with rings and pins. Regenerated injectors and an injection pump were installed in the fuel system. The engine cooling system received a new water pump and a new thermostat with a housing. The worn oil pump was replaced with a new one.
The engine was delivered to us with a flexible clutch insert, which showed significant signs of wear. After the customer's decision, the element was replaced with a new one.
The pusher cups needed to be replaced, and the camshaft was regenerated.
In addition, the following were also regenerated: the crankshaft, connecting rods, head, turbocharger, alternator and starter.
Finally, the engine was assembled on a new set of seals, gaskets and filters.
After the repair, the engine was checked and preliminarily run-in on the engine dynamometer in our workshop.
