The engine repair included, among other things, replacing the damaged engine block, crankshaft and camshaft along with the tappets.
Repair process
Then the engine was assembled on new repair kits containing main bearings, bearings and connecting rod bushings, as well as pistons with rings. In the fuel system, regenerated injectors and an injection pump were installed. The engine cooling system received a regenerated water pump and a new thermostat. The worn oil pump was replaced with a new one.
In addition, the following were regenerated: crankshaft, connecting rods, cylinder head, turbocharger and starter.
Finally, the engine was assembled on a new set of seals, gaskets and filters.
After the repair, the engine was checked and preliminarily run-in on the engine dynamometer in our workshop.
