Liebherr D9508 A7

In our workshop, a repair of the Liebherr D9508 A7 engine was carried out, which comes from the Liebherr R974C crawler excavator.

The engine came to us immediately after detecting a fault that qualified it for a major overhaul. We rebuilt it based on new repair kits containing sleeves, pistons, rings, and pins with safeguards.

Course of the repair

In addition, from the basic elements, main bearings, bearings and connecting rod bushings were installed. The crankshaft and camshaft were in surprisingly good condition and after polishing could be reinstalled.

In the fuel system, new injectors and a new high-pressure pump were installed. The engine cooling system received a regenerated water pump and new thermostats. Worn oil pumps were also replaced with new ones.

In addition, the following were regenerated: connecting rods, cylinder heads, turbochargers, and the starter.

The entire engine was assembled on a new set of seals, gaskets, and filters.

After the repair, the engine was checked and preliminarily run-in on the engine dynamometer in our workshop.
