A Perkins 1004-40T engine overhaul was carried out in our company.
The engine overhaul included, among other things, replacing the engine block, crankshaft bearings, connecting rod bearings and bushings, as well as pistons with rings. A regenerated fuel pump and injectors were installed in the fuel system, as well as a new feed pump. The timing gear was equipped with a new camshaft and tappet cups. In the lubrication system, a new oil pump, new piston lubricators and a new pressure sensor were installed. In addition to the above, new clutch and water pump were installed.
In addition, the following were regenerated: connecting rods, cylinder head, turbocharger, and the starter and alternator. The engine block was bushed.
Finally, the engine was assembled on a new set of seals, gaskets and filters.
After the repair, the engine was checked and preliminarily run-in on the engine dynamometer in our workshop.
