The Liebherr D 924 T-E A1 engine, which comes from a Liebherr R914 excavator, has been repaired in our workshop.
The engine repair primarily involved replacing the worn engine block due to improper operation. In the next step, the engine was assembled on new repair kits containing main bearings, connecting rod bearings and bushings, as well as cylinder liners and pistons with rings. In the fuel system, regenerated injectors and an injection pump were installed. The engine cooling system received a regenerated water pump and new thermostats. The worn oil pump was replaced with another, functional one. In the engine block, the camshaft bearings were replaced, and the camshaft itself was regenerated.
In addition, the following were regenerated: the crankshaft, connecting rods, cylinder heads, turbocharger, and starter.
Finally, the engine was assembled on a new set of seals, gaskets and filters.
After the repair, the engine was checked and preliminarily run-in on the engine dynamometer in our workshop.
