A major repair of the Komatsu SAA6D114E-1 engine from the WA420 wheel loader was carried out in our workshop.

The engine overhaul included, among other things, the replacement of main bearings, connecting rod bearings and bushings, as well as cylinder liners and pistons along with pins and rings. In the fuel system, regenerated injectors and a fuel pump were installed, as well as a new primer pump. The lubrication system was equipped with a new oil pump and the oil dipstick was replaced. A new coolant pump was installed along with a thermostat, as well as a new turbocharger and a new camshaft.

In addition, the connecting rods, cylinder head and starter were regenerated. The crankshaft only required polishing.

Finally, the engine was assembled on a new set of seals, gaskets and filters, and the electrical harness was repaired.

After the repair, the engine was checked and preliminarily run-in on the engine dynamometer in our workshop.
