The Liebherr D9408 engine from a Liebherr self-propelled crane was repaired in our workshop.
The engine repair included, among others, the replacement of main bearings, connecting rod bearings and bushings, as well as cylinder liners and pistons along with pins and rings. In the fuel system, regenerated injectors and an injection pump were installed. The lubrication system was equipped with a new oil pump and new piston nozzle valves. The cooling system gained a regenerated coolant pump and thermostat.
The pusher cups and crankcase breather separator were also replaced.
In addition, the following were regenerated: crankshaft, camshaft, connecting rods, heads, turbochargers, air compressor, and alternator and starter.
Finally, the engine was assembled on a new set of seals, gaskets and filters.
After the repair, the engine was checked and preliminarily run-in on the engine dynamometer in our workshop.
