The piston takes the combustion pressure and passes it through the gudgeon pin to the connecting rod. The photo shows an aluminium piston with a full set of rings, the pin and two circlips. New part. Fits Deutz BF4M1013 and TCD2013L042V engines and the Volvo D7D. STD is the basic size, so before ordering check that the cylinders have not been honed to an oversize.
