A Caterpillar C15 engine overhaul was carried out in our company.
The engine overhaul included, among other things, crankshaft bearings, connecting rod bearings and bushings, piston rings, as well as the replacement of cylinder liners. The fuel system gained new injectors and a regenerated injection pump, and the cooling system a regenerated water pump.
In addition, the following were regenerated: the head, crankshaft, connecting rods, turbocharger, and starter.
Finally, the engine was assembled on a new set of seals, gaskets, and filters.
After the repair, the engine was checked and preliminarily run-in on the engine dynamometer in our workshop.
