A Perkins 1004-40T engine overhaul was carried out in our company.
The engine overhaul included, among other things, the replacement of the engine block, crankshaft bearings, connecting rod bearings and bushings, as well as pistons with rings. A regenerated fuel pump and injectors and a new feed pump were installed in the fuel system. The timing gear was equipped with a new camshaft and pushrod cups. In the lubrication system, a new oil pump, new piston lubricators and a new pressure sensor were installed. In addition to the above, new clutch and water pump were installed.
In addition, the following were regenerated: connecting rods, cylinder head, turbocharger, and starter and alternator. The engine block was sleeved.
Finally, the engine was assembled on a new set of seals, gaskets and filters.
After the repair, the engine was checked and preliminarily run in on the engine dynamometer in our workshop.
