Engine description

Scope of overhaul

• Block: cleaning, geometry and passage inspection, resurfacing of mating faces.
• Crank–piston assembly: new pistons/liners/rings, bearings; crankshaft machined and balanced.
• Cylinder heads: refurbishment, new valves and guides, resurfacing, valve lash adjustment.
• Ancillaries: new oil and water pumps, complete set of gaskets and seals.
• Fuel system: diagnostics and testing of high-pressure pump, common rails and injectors (recondition/replacement).
• Turbocharging: inspection/overhaul of turbochargers, intake and intercooler leak test.
