The thermostat opens the cooling circuit once the coolant reaches operating temperature and closes it again, keeping the engine in its proper temperature range. This unit has a cup-shaped metal housing with a brass pin of the wax element in the centre. New part. Before ordering, compare the number 6I-4954 and the housing diameter with the thermostat you removed and check the opening temperature.
