Komatsu is one of the largest manufacturers of construction machinery in the world. He specializes in in the production and sale of mini-excavators, mini-loaders, compact excavators and loaders, crawler dozers, wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, wheeled and tracked excavators, rigid-frame and articulated dumpers and parts for construction machinery. The company also produces the world's largest bulldozer - Komatsu D575.

Komatsu - a company with history

When asked about the most famous manufacturers of construction machinery, Komatsu is sure to be one of the most mentioned brands. It is a global concert that has been providing solutions for heavy industry since 1921. Its origins were related to the production of steel and specialized sheet metal presses. The experience gained in this way was used in the construction of machines: first crawler agricultural tractors and, from 1947, crawler dozers. Five years later, road graders were added to the offer, followed by articulated and rigid dump trucks and forklifts soon after. In the mid-1960s, loaders as well as tracked and wheeled excavators appeared. Another major development took place in 2001 with the introduction of the world's largest bulldozer, the D575. The machine has a curb weight of approx. 160 t and a maximum power of approx. 1,300 HP. In 2007, a forklift with a hybrid drive appeared, a year later a hybrid hydraulic excavator went into series production, and since 2012 it is also offered in Europe. Compared to a typical design, it reduces fuel consumption by up to 20-30%.
