A Cummins QSC8.3 engine overhaul was carried out in our company.
The engine overhaul included, among other things, the replacement of the engine block, crankshaft bearings, connecting rod bearings and bushings, pistons with rings, as well as the replacement of cylinder liners. A regenerated fuel pump and injectors were installed in the fuel system, as well as new fuel lines. The cooling system was equipped with a new water pump and thermostat. From now on, a new oil pump is operating in the engine, and the turbine is lubricated via a new oil line. The engine's electrical harness, which was previously damaged, has been repaired.
In addition, the following were regenerated: connecting rods, turbocharger, compressor, head, alternator and starter, and crankshaft.
Finally, the engine was assembled on a new set of seals, gaskets and filters.
After the repair, the engine was checked and preliminarily run-in on an engine dynamometer in our workshop.
