In our company, a Liebherr D9508 A7 engine from a Liebherr R964 C HD crawler excavator has been repaired.
The engine repair included, among other things, the replacement of main bearings, connecting rod bearings, connecting rods, as well as cylinder liners and pistons along with rings. In the fuel system, regenerated injectors and a high-pressure pump were installed. In the lubrication system, a new oil pump and piston nozzles were installed. The cooling system gained a new coolant pump and thermostat.
The camshaft and pusher cups were also replaced.
In addition, the following were regenerated: crankshaft, cylinder heads, turbochargers, starter and alternator.
Finally, the engine was assembled on a new set of seals, gaskets and filters and the electrical harness was repaired.
After the repair, the engine was checked and preliminarily run-in on the engine dynamometer in our workshop.
