In our workshop, a D 9408 TI-E A4 engine, originating from a Liebherr self-propelled crane, was repaired.
The engine repair included, among other things, the replacement of main bearings, connecting rod bearings and bushings, as well as cylinder liners and pistons along with rings. In the fuel system, regenerated injectors were installed and the injection pump was comprehensively repaired. The cooling system gained a regenerated coolant pump and a set of new thermostats. The crankshaft and camshaft, due to minor signs of wear, were only polished.
In addition, the following were regenerated: connecting rods, cylinder heads, alternator and starter.
Finally, the engine was assembled on a new set of seals, gaskets and filters.
After the repair, the engine was checked and preliminarily run-in on the engine dynamometer in our workshop.
