Our company has performed a rebuild of the Cummins QSB 5.9 engine.
The engine overhaul included, among other things, replacing the engine block, head, crankshaft bearings, connecting rod bearings and bushings, pistons and piston rings. The fuel system received refurbished injectors and a fuel pump, as well as a new feed pump, and the cooling system a new water pump and thermostat.
A new oil pump, a new camshaft with tappets, as well as a new vibration damper and belt tensioner were also installed.
In addition, the following were regenerated: the engine block, head, crankshaft, connecting rods, turbocharger, and the alternator and starter.
Finally, the engine was assembled on a new set of seals, gaskets and filters.
After the repair, the engine was checked and preliminarily run-in on the engine dynamometer in our workshop.
