A Caterpillar 3406c engine overhaul was carried out in our company.
The engine overhaul included, among other things, the replacement of crankshaft bearings, connecting rod bearings and bushings, as well as cylinder liners and pistons with rings. New injectors with fuel lines and a new supply pump were installed in the fuel system. A new oil pump was installed in the lubrication system. In addition to the above, a regenerated water pump, a new thermostat and new pushrod cups were installed. The camshaft and intermediate wheel were also replaced.
In addition, the following were regenerated: the crankshaft, connecting rods, turbocharger, starter and alternator. The engine head was completely rebuilt with a set of new parts.
Finally, the engine was assembled on a new set of seals, gaskets and filters.
After the repair, the engine was checked and preliminarily run-in on the engine dynamometer in our workshop.
