A major repair of the Liebherr D 924 T-E A1 engine from the Liebherr R914 crawler excavator was carried out in our workshop.
After disassembling the engine and its detailed verification, the engine was assembled on new repair kits containing main bearings, connecting rod bearings and bushings, as well as cylinder liners and pistons with rings. In the fuel system, regenerated injectors and an injection pump were installed. The engine cooling system received a regenerated water pump and new thermostats. In the engine block, the camshaft bearings were replaced, and the camshaft itself was regenerated.
In addition, the following were regenerated: the crankshaft, connecting rods, cylinder heads, turbocharger, and starter.
Finally, the engine was assembled on a new set of seals, gaskets and filters.
After the repair, the engine was checked and preliminarily run-in on the engine dynamometer in our workshop.
