Service and repair of Atlas construction machinery
Has your Atlas lost its power, do you have leaks from the control valve, or are you struggling with a hydraulic failure? At WIBAKO, we effectively repair Atlas 1304, 1504 wheeled excavators or 160LC crawler excavators, eliminating problems with Linde pumps and Deutz engines. We offer mobile diagnostics on-site and component remanufacturing in our workshop, quickly restoring your machine to full operational efficiency.
An end to smoking and power drops
Specialized Internal Combustion Engine Team
When the power unit in your Atlas starts to emit heavy smoke, rapidly lose power under load, or consume excessive amounts of oil, temporary fixes are not enough. At WIBAKO, we focus on uncompromising quality - our specialized team of mechanics carries out advanced, major overhauls of engines dedicated to this brand's machines. We have many years of experience in rebuilding engines from manufacturers such as Deutz, Cummins, or Perkins. With the utmost meticulousness, we recreate the original technical parameters, taking care of both the perfect fit of the engine block's mechanical components and the precise tuning of the fuel systems. We possess modern technological facilities, which allows us to carry out the full remanufacturing process according to strict manufacturer standards. Every unit delivered to us from an Atlas machine is disassembled into prime components and subjected to thorough cleaning. Then, engineers perform specialized micro-measurements, locating even the smallest deviations from the standard. As part of a comprehensive overhaul, we perform full mechanical processing of key components, replace worn internal elements with new components, and precisely adjust the timing and injection system parameters. Thanks to such a meticulous approach, we completely eliminate the risk of hidden defects, and your Atlas engine gets a second life, ensuring stable and trouble-free operation during the toughest challenges on the construction site.

We simulate construction site conditions in our workshop
Professional Load Tests - Engine Dynamometer
At WIBAKO, we eliminate the risk of surprises by having our own engine dynamometer for testing complete internal combustion engines up to 500 HP. We check parameters under full operating load, ensuring trouble-free and stable operation of the power unit. In our service center in Kojszówka, we do not install engines "blindly". Every unit powering Atlas 1504 wheeled excavators or AR85 loaders undergoes rigorous load tests that simulate extreme field conditions. We load Deutz or Cummins units exactly as if they were working with a maximum loaded Linde HPR hydraulic pump during deep excavations. During the controlled break-in cycle, we monitor oil pressure, the cooling system, and Common Rail injection system parameters in real time. This allows us to eliminate the problem of smoking or the machine "choking" under heavy resistance before the equipment hits the construction site. You receive a fully broken-in, tested engine along with a technical report confirming the return to nominal factory parameters.
When is it Time for Service?
Symptoms of Engine Failure in Atlas Machines
Ignoring the first symptoms of wear on the power unit in an Atlas excavator or loader is the simplest path to a serious and costly failure that can completely immobilize the machine on the construction site.
Here are the key warning signs that indicate the need for diagnostics or an overhaul:
Change in exhaust color and intensity - thick, black smoke under load usually heralds an injection system or turbocharger failure, while blue or white smoke indicates engine oil burning or coolant entering the combustion chambers.
Clear drop in power and efficiency - a situation where your Atlas with a Deutz, Cummins, or Perkins engine noticeably weakens while digging, RPMs drop drastically during arm movements, and the machine loses its driving dynamics.
Problems starting the unit - difficulties starting the engine, occurring both when cold and after it has warmed up significantly during operation.
Uneven operation and unusual sounds - fluctuating RPMs at idle, loud operation, and any metallic knocking or rattling noises coming from the engine compartment.
Excessive pressure in the crankcase - so-called blow-by (smoke from the breather or oil filler cap), which most often indicates wear on the piston rings and cylinder liner surfaces.
Rapid loss of operating fluids - sudden and high engine oil consumption or regular loss of coolant without visible external leaks.
A quick response to the above symptoms allows us to precisely locate the source of the problem in our workshop and prevents the costs of any eventual repair from increasing.
Our expert team knows how to restore dynamics to your excavator
Specialized Power Hydraulics Team
Is your Atlas lifting its arm slowly, losing power after the oil warms up, or having problems driving? Our dedicated team of hydraulic specialists specializes in the remanufacturing of Linde piston pumps, hydraulic motors, and control valves for these machines. We diagnose advanced AWE control systems, seal swivel joints (rotary manifolds), and restore factory working pressures, eliminating equipment downtime on the construction site. In our workshop in Kojszówka, we precisely remanufacture Linde HPR main pumps (e.g., HPR 100, HPR 130) installed in Atlas 1304, 1404, or 1504 excavators. Instead of costly replacement of components with new ones, we replace rotary groups, control plates, and pistons, restoring full volumetric efficiency to the system. Our specialists perfectly know the specifics of Load Sensing systems and the AWE control systems characteristic of the Atlas brand. We flawlessly eliminate the causes of jerking, arm dropping, or slow response to joystick movements. We repair multi-section control valves, travel hydraulic motors, and seal swivel joints. Every remanufactured component undergoes rigorous pressure tests under load, thanks to which your Atlas regains its factory smoothness and strength to work.

A test on our test bench is a guarantee that the machine will not fail
Professional Hydraulic Test Bench - Testing and Verification of Components
We do not guess which part is damaged - we have professional diagnostic stations (a hydraulic test bench) for verifying and testing pumps and power hydraulic components. Every Linde or Rexroth unit undergoes rigorous tests under full load before it goes back to the machine. On our specialized test bench, we mount, among others, Linde HPR main pumps from Atlas 1404 or 1504 excavators, simulating extreme working conditions and high oil temperatures reaching 70°C. We test the correctness of Load Sensing regulators' responses (AWE control system) and the stability of working pressures. Every piston pump, travel motor, or control valve leaves the WIBAKO workshop with a full technological report. Thanks to this, you gain 100% certainty that your Atlas's hydraulics have regained factory performance, and the risk of another downtime on the construction site is completely eliminated.
When to React?
Symptoms of Power Hydraulics Failure in Atlas Machines
Even a slight drop in the efficiency of a piston pump, a leak in the control valve, or wear on the travel motor can drastically reduce the performance of the entire machine and expose you to costly delays.
Here are the most common symptoms indicating that the hydraulics in your Atlas require expert intervention:
Slowing down of working movements after the machine warms up - if the excavator or loader works dynamically in the morning, and after several dozen minutes (when the oil reaches a high temperature) starts to slow down drastically, it is a classic symptom of internal leakage in the main pump or control valve.
Clear lack of strength during digging or lifting - the machine is unable to lift a standard load, and the relief valves "squeal" under load, which signals a problem with maintaining the correct working pressure in the system.
Weakening or stopping of one of the movements - a situation where the arm or bucket responds sluggishly, while other hydraulic functions work correctly.
Problems with driving and steering - the wheeled or crawler excavator pulls to one side, has trouble overcoming a slope, or completely loses power in one of the hydraulic motors.
Unusually loud operation and metallic sounds - characteristic "rattling", grinding, or cavitation (foaming of oil) near the hydraulic pump, which usually portends its mechanical seizing or air in the system.
Rapid overheating of hydraulic oil - the oil temperature quickly rises above the norm, which destroys seals throughout the machine and is a direct result of excessive resistance or internal leaks.
Debris and filings in filters - the presence of metal particles or glittering dust in the hydraulic filter is the final warning bell before a complete, catastrophic pump failure and contamination of the entire system.
Have you noticed that your Atlas weakens as the working day goes on? Our power hydraulics team will precisely diagnose the problem, and after remanufacturing, will check the components on a stationary test bench.
We minimize downtime
Fast Mobile Service - Atlas Repair on the Construction Site
We know that transporting a several-ton Atlas 1404 or 1504 wheeled excavator to a stationary workshop is a huge cost and logistical challenge. That is why our mobile mechanics head straight to your machine. WIBAKO's fully equipped service vehicles allow for advanced field diagnostics. We connect measuring equipment to the control points of the hydraulic system to verify the working pressures of Linde pumps and the correct operation of valves in the AWE control system live. Most current problems - such as control valve failures, control electronics faults, cylinder leaks, or problems with Deutz engine accessories - are eliminated on the spot at the breakdown scene. If the damage turns out to be more serious, our team safely disassembles the main pump, travel motor, or engine and takes it to our base in Kojszówka, where it undergoes full remanufacturing and load testing. We act efficiently, regardless of weather conditions, ensuring that your Atlas returns to work as soon as possible.

Why does an Atlas excavator lose power and slow down once the hydraulic oil warms up?
This is one of the most common issues in models like the Atlas 1304, 1404, or 1504. The main cause is a drop in the volumetric efficiency of the main pump (usually a Linde HPR series) or internal leakage within the main control valve and the rotary manifold (swivel joint). When the oil is cold and thick, the machine appears to operate normally. As it warms up, the oil viscosity drops, and wear on the pistons or valve plates causes a drastic loss of working pressure due to internal leakage. At WIBAKO, we precisely diagnose these faults using our hydraulic test bench to restore the system to its factory specifications.
Will I receive a warranty after a complete engine overhaul at WIBAKO?
Yes. We provide a full 12-month warranty on every complete internal combustion engine overhaul (e.g., oil- or liquid-cooled Deutz, Cummins, Perkins). We stand completely behind the quality of our work.
Does your mobile service team carry spare parts, or will I have to wait for them?
Thanks to our own extensive warehouse stock, we minimize repair times as much as possible. When an issue is reported, we conduct a detailed technical assessment. Based on this information, our mobile mechanics bring precisely selected, essential components directly to your job site. This allows us to resolve most typical Atlas faults during the very first on-site visit.
Which hydraulic components for Atlas machines do you repair/remanufacture on-site?
