WIBAKO is the longest-established independent **Liebherr machine service** in Poland. We have been in business since 1989, more than 35 years. We repair Liebherr excavators, wheel loaders, dozers, cranes and material handlers. We provide complete **Liebherr excavator service**: from on-site fault diagnosis, through hydraulic pump and motor rebuilds, to full combustion engine overhauls with dynamometer testing. As a **Liebherr construction machinery service** provider, we combine our workshop in Kojszówka, mobile service crews and a parts warehouse, which significantly reduces machine downtime.

Our teams focus on the three areas where major failures most often occur in Liebherr machines: hydraulic power systems, diesel engines and drivetrains (axles, final drives, swing gearboxes).

## Liebherr service by machine type

### Wheeled and crawler excavators

We service A-series wheeled excavators (including A904, A914, A918, A924) and R-series crawler excavators (including R914, R924, R934, R944). The most common repairs are main pumps and swing motors, slewing rings, boom and bucket pins (line boring and bushing) and D924, D926 and D934 engines. Details can be found on our [Liebherr excavator service and repair](https://wibako.com/about-us/service/718-repair-and-service-of-liebherr-excavators) page.

### Wheel loaders

We repair L506, L550, L556, L566, L580 and L586 wheel loaders: working hydraulics, hydrostatic drive, axles and engines. In loaders with hydrostatic drive, a loss of tractive force is often caused by a worn travel pump or hydraulic motor rather than a diesel engine fault. Read more on our [Liebherr wheel loader repair](https://wibako.com/about-us/service/719-repair-and-service-of-liebherr-loaders) page.

### Cranes

We service LTM mobile cranes, LR crawler cranes and HS machines. The scope covers carrier and superstructure engines (D924, D926, D9406, D9408, D9508), fault code diagnostics and hydraulic systems. See: [Liebherr crane service](https://wibako.com/about-us/service/720-repair-and-service-of-liebherr-cranes).

### Dozers and material handlers

We repair PR724, PR734, PR754 and PR756 dozers as well as LH material handlers working in scrapyards, sawmills and ports. Typical problems in these machines include overheating during continuous heavy-duty operation, travel drive wear and faults in the rotator and grapple slewing.

## Liebherr hydraulics – pumps, hydraulic motors, control valves

![Mechanic removing the cylinder block with pistons from an axial piston pump during a rebuild](https://wibako.com/media/articles/article-430/slot3-e-6f2777e8.webp)

Liebherr hydraulic pumps are among the components we rebuild most often. We rebuild LPVD, LPV, DPVO and DPVD axial piston pumps and FMV hydraulic motors. After stripping the pump, we measure piston clearances in the cylinder block and inspect the valve plate, slippers, swashplate, bearings and regulator. Worn parts are replaced with new genuine parts or proven aftermarket equivalents. The assembled pump is tested on a test bench up to 400 bar: we check flow, pressures, leakage and regulator characteristics. An example of such a repair: [rebuild of a DPVO 165 pump from a Liebherr A316 excavator](https://wibako.com/about-us/news/817-how-often-should-excavator-pumps-be-serviced-rebuilding-a-dpvo-165-from-a-liebherr-a316).

Hydraulic service scope:

- main pumps, travel pumps and gear pilot pumps,
- hydraulic travel and swing motors,
- control valves and valves (pressure adjustment and verification),
- cylinders: seals, guides, piston rods,
- filtration and system flushing after a failure.

Symptoms that call for diagnostics:

- loss of digging or lifting force, especially once the oil has warmed up,
- slow attachment movements or uneven travel,
- hydraulic oil overheating,
- whining or noisy pump operation,
- metal particles on filters and magnetic plugs,
- boom drifting down on its own.

Practical tip: after a pump failure, metal particles circulate in the oil. Without filtration and flushing of the system, a new or rebuilt pump can seize quickly, so we check oil cleanliness every time we replace a pump.

## Liebherr engine overhauls with dyno testing

![Liebherr D936 A7 diesel engine](https://wibako.com/media/articles/article-430/slot4-p-c0f52b74.webp)

We overhaul Liebherr inline and V engines, from older mechanical units to Common Rail versions with SCR and DPF exhaust aftertreatment. The overhaul includes inspection of the block, liners, crankshaft and cylinder heads, as well as rebuilding of ancillaries: turbochargers, water pumps and the CR injection system. Every overhauled engine is tested under full load on our own dynamometer rated up to 500 hp. This way any faults show up in the workshop, not on the job site.

Typical signs of engine wear:

- black smoke (fuel, boost), white smoke (coolant, injection) or blue smoke (oil),
- loss of power and increased fuel consumption,
- low oil pressure on a warm engine,
- knocking, metallic noises, crankcase blow-by.

If an overhaul would take too long, an exchange engine is the solution: a tested used unit or a rebuilt one, e.g. the [Liebherr D934 L A6 engine](https://wibako.com/shop/diesel-engines/11218X73323-engine-liebherr-d934-l-a6). The machine goes straight back to work, and the worn engine can be rebuilt later.
