Doosan is a reputable Korean company specializing in the production of construction equipment, mainly excavators, wheel loaders, articulated dumpers and machine parts. Since 2005, it has been the fifth largest producer of construction equipment in the world. Doosan machines find many buyers primarily due to their high productivity, durability and reliability.
The history of the Doosan Group
The Doosan Group was founded in 1896 and is now a multinational conglomerate focusing primarily on construction, manufacturing and consumer goods. The name comes from Korean and is a combination of two words: "Doo" meaning a unit of grain and "San" meaning mountain. Choosing such a name, the founders of the company emphasized the great value of hard work of all people associated with the company, in order to achieve great things together (hence the comparison up). Currently, the conglomerate employs nearly 40,000 people in 38 countries.
A very important event in the company's history was the acquisition in 2007 of the American construction company Bobcat, a major player in the market of small construction equipment. From this event, the intense international expansion of the Korean tycoon began, and Doosan took over many companies over the years, including in China, Romania and Germany. It is in China (of course, outside of Korea) that the main activity of the company is concentrated, which treats the Middle Kingdom as an ideal bridgehead for extensive international expansion.
The functioning of the group is determined by several basic rules that oblige all employees of the company to behave in a certain way, both in relation to employees and all clients and contractors.
