Recondition of engine Volvo D12C

The engine overhaul mainly involved the use of an engine repair kit, which includes all the main components of the engine base: main and conrod bearings, thrust washers, connecting rod bushes, cylinder sleeves, complete pistons with rings and a set of engine gaskets.

Reconditioned unit injectors and an injection pump were installed in the fuel system. The engine cooling system got a regenerated water pump and new thermostats. Worn oil pump has been replaced with a new one. The camshaft bearings in the engine block have been replaced and the camshaft itself has been regenerated.

Moreover, the following parts were reconditioned: crankshaft, connecting rods, cylinder head, turbocharger, alternator and starter.

Finally, the engine was assembled on a new set of seals, gaskets and filters.

After engine assembly the unit was tested on our test bench for running and proper work.
