# Liebherr D926 TI-E A5 Engine Overhaul

### **Liebherr D926** TI-E **A5**

**A repair of the Liebherr D926 TI-E A5 engine, which operates in the Liebherr LTM 1055/1 mobile crane, was carried out in our workshop.**

The engine repair included, among other things, the replacement of main bearings, connecting rod bearings and bushings, rings and cylinder liners. 2 pistons, one of the heads and most of the tappets also needed to be replaced.

### Course of the repair

Reconditioned injectors were installed in the fuel system and the so-called leading injection was replaced. The cooling system is driven by a reconditioned coolant pump.

The hydraulic pump was also inspected - during the revision, a complete set of seals was replaced in it so that it could finally end up on the test stand in our hydraulic power workshop.

In addition, the following were regenerated: crankshaft, connecting rods, heads, turbocharger and engine block.

Finally, the engine was assembled on a new set of seals, gaskets and filters, and the electrical harness was repaired.

After the repair, the engine was checked and preliminarily run-in on the engine dynamometer in our workshop.
