# Volvo D12C Engine Overhaul

**A Volvo D12C engine overhaul was carried out in our company.**

The engine overhaul included, among other things, the replacement of main bearings, connecting rod bearings and bushings, as well as cylinder liners and pistons with rings. 2 connecting rods also required replacement. In the fuel system, regenerated injectors and a fuel pump were installed. In the lubrication system, a new oil pump and piston nozzles were installed. The cooling system gained a new coolant pump and thermostat.

The camshaft and pushrod cups were also replaced.

In addition, the following were regenerated: the crankshaft, connecting rods, cylinder head, turbocharger and starter.

Finally, the engine was assembled on a new set of seals, gaskets and filters, and the electrical harness was repaired.

After the repair, the engine was checked and preliminarily run-in on the engine dynamometer in our workshop.
